This was my first book by this particular author and after reading the blurb I couldn’t wait to get started but I’m sorry to say I was a little disappointed, I found it rather slow to start with and it didn’t really pickup as the story unfolded.
The main protagonists Oliver and Holland both shared similar yet different life experiences which did affect their relationship and I could totally understand why. The storyline itself was good but I feel the way in which it was written didn’t do it justice it had the potential to be so much more.
I just wasn’t feeling the chemistry between Oliver and Holland sure they had a connection but after the way he treated her on more than one occasion I just didn’t get it. Like I said before it was slow paced and to be honest I almost quit reading but soldiered on, the only saving grace was the ending and the fact that it was packaged up nicely with no loose end and the hero managed to redeem himself.
