REVIEWS: Unfinished Business by Carina Adams

A wonderful surprise

This is an engrossing and original premise for an MC romance….I was not prepared for it to be such an emotional read…Rob is the President of the Bastards MC and Cris shares a history with him…when the past catches up with Rob his relationship with Cris starts to change as he is forced to re-evaluate everything he knows and believes…

The narrative is provided by Rob and Cris as they recollect the past and provide their perspective on the present drama as it unfolds…their relationship is a slow burning one but once they accept the inevitable things hot up; I love possessive and protective bikers and Rob personifies this description…..the author has created a fascinating band of men and women who are at the heart of the club; their interactions are genuine full of good humoured banter exemplifying their strong bonds of friendship and love…

There is quite a bit of backstory and I did find myself losing context at times and having to re-read parts to ensure I understood the implications of the events being explained…I suspect that if I had read the other books in the series previously there would not have been this requirement to re-check for clarification …

This book was such a wonderful surprise I never thought when I started that it would make me feel such a myriad of emotions; within these pages there are personal stories of loss, hate, vengeance, forgiveness and love…I was completely caught up in the lives of the characters and would love to read more about them….this book was reviewed for Summer’s Eve Reads…
