REVIEW: Kiss Chasey – Misti Murphy

28693627Title: Kiss Chasey
Author: Misti Murphy
Series: standalone
Genre: romance/action
Page count: 172

POV: Chasey & Reed
Rating: ***

It took me a little while to get into this book simply due to its immense unrealism; I was not expecting the end twist, however, which quite significantly redeemed the story.

The characters were fairly well developed with their own backstories, and I really enjoyed watching them help each other through their pasts. However, the action sequences seemed rushed and lacking in detail. The entire book was somewhat of a whirlwind, but I feel that unlike some of Misti Murphy’s other releases, it actually worked due to the melodramatic nature of the entire plot.

I feel like there is a lot of potential for further releases using the other characters introduced in the book; the other activities of the Vice Agency are intriguing, for example. I just hope that if it is pursued, they become a little more realistic and less frustratingly melodramatic.
